I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society. I am also a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an endorsed provider of psychology services under Medicare.  I have been a psychologist for 16 years, working with children, parents and teachers as a school counsellor in both Sydney and Brisbane.  Before that I was a primary school teacher.  I have two young children of my own and my passion for facilitating positive changes in children’s lives has only grown since becoming a parent.

Sessions with me are fun and always solution-focused.  I use Play Therapy and Narrative Therapy which feels very natural to children. Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) works well with slightly older children, and is the most evidence-based psychological practice currently available.  All sessions are couched within a solutions-focused-brief therapy (SFBT) framework, which ensures that the client always walks away with a positive set of goals and reinforces the understanding that the client best understands their situation and is responsible for their own change. With children, creative solutions are often the best and can sometimes effect change so quickly, it can surprise us all!
